Love Letters

A true "sanctuary". A feeling of inner peace and knowledge that perhaps there is something far greater that can create such amazing beauty. Also that within people there is a gift to add to the pure beauty of nature through so many art forms within the house and garden.

I truly have never been to such a magical place (I was searching for better adjective). I hope that the feeling of peace and appreciation of the astounding beauty of nature and the artistic gifts of those who live here will remain long after we return to the mainland.

These days have been the highlight of my life that I will never forget. Thank you for creating such a spectacularly glorious place, where everywhere you rest your eyes leaves you with something beautiful to keep in your heart.

Never have we stayed somewhere so magical which has allowed us to embrace the natural beauty of the land so well. This is a place which I doubt any of us will ever forget and has been the highlight of our Maui vacationing so far. - Karamzadch family - Houston

Words have yet to be create for this place. We loved our stay and don't want to leave. The house, the decor, the grounds - everything we see is beautiful and made with such love. Now, when we close our eyes and drift off to that special place, it will be to here - to our dream house in Halemano sanctuary

"and we got ourselves back to the garden..." as Joni Mitchell sang, and we have found "the garden" with your help. This brief respite has allowed us to see/ feel/ know the parts of ourselves we have long missed though still remember and experience with joy the gratitude once again.
Beauty and peace is so abundant here- as is generosity and sharing. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your precious world here in Halemano.

The idea finally clicked in after we left here to go to the resort area: all those people are searching for THIS MAUI. We loved the view, the gardens, the surprises all around that were interwoven with the scenery - the artwork of GOd and mn. The people here, of corse, were the nicest surprise of all.

What our visitors have to say

Wow. What to say about a place where individual energy makes up the whole! The windy road through the jungle opens like the end of a tunnel to the ocean beyond the lawn and my gaze is stopped by each garden's beauty and well tended state. The house could not have been more to our liking and style - rich textiles - nice details, immaculately clean. We are enriched by this experience and all the people tending this land. Blessings to all, we shall return the hopefully for longer. -Sue Brady

Building of the paradise should be lauded for its easy, sturdy and artful grace. I would personally love to return for a whole Christmas season.
Congratulations for such a beautiful construct of practiced art in such an unexpected setting. - Paul Weeks - NY

From the moment we drove through the jungle of the driveway we knew we had found a magical hide-away to spend our first few nightrs as newly-weds. To us it felt like we had entered the garden of eden. We very much appreciate all the details that make this such a serene “hale”. I hope to cayrry the slow gentle spirit of halemano throughout our journey.

The vision, the greetings and peace abound here. Makes we wonder how we survive in our "normal lives."
Mahalo for centering our souls, returning us to where we all should be.
Blessings to all of you

An ode to Halemano ~
For the most part I feel a little at a loss, trying to describe the beauty of Halemano and how it has touched me. Somehow no word is round and voluptuous enough, no letter graceful and ordained enough, no sentence quite the recipe for transferring its intoxication. Every time I have travelled to Halemano I hold my breath, - wondering if it actually still exists or if it is something that I have conjured up in the most decadent of daydreams.
Winding down the curvaceous jungle driveway, alive with ferns and deep green vines reaching out to welcome me, the air drenched with fragrance of night blooming jasmine and plumeria mingling with the scent of the sea, reminding the soul of everything beautiful.
Arriving at the porch of the house, a perch where jungle, imaculate garden, sea and sky all harmoniously converge, I am suspended.
Halemano is so much more than a place in space. It is where I feel the most held in its embrace. There is a softening in the lattice I constructed to hold me up and something within the heart blossoms in unison with flowering ginger. A place of infinite seascapes which give way to infinite personal perspectives where dreams are allowed to pierce through darkness like the stars in the midnight sky. Where every leaf and stone is placed with care, creating an altar in all directions, allowing a feeling of grace to seep into your step. Where joie de vivre is infused in the wind.
I am so happy for Halemano, spending time there always assures me of how blessed my life is.
